BIO

P.D. Yoko is passionate about the written word and its ability to facilitate change.  When she was young, her father instilled in her a great respect for literature and written communication.  He advised her to always choose her words wisely, because they have the ability to “hurt or heal.”

With that motivation, Ms. Yoko enjoys using her talents to inspire, console, motivate and encourage others.  Whether it’s instructional guides, informational articles, profiles or business documents, she is dedicated to inspire the reader toward a sense of purpose.  Her feature articles, fillers and opinion editorials have appeared in such publications as The Houston Post, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Focus Magazine, The Daily News Journal, and Land Development Today Magazine.

Her technical writing and graphic arts have been used by many Fortune 500 companies and corporations such as Holiday Inn Corporation, Giant Eagle, Inc., and Marathon Oil Corporation.   She has produced a wide range of business documents such as annual reports, bios/ profiles, policy manuals, brochures, newsletters, online content, email communiqués, instructional guides, proposals, public relations and resumes.

Recruited by Peterson's Cyberedit, the global leader in resume design, she has produced resumes and cover letters for sales, marketing, administrative, operations, and senior executives in a variety of industries throughout North/South America, Europe and Asia.

For ten years, she has been a vibrant consoling voice in the Catholic Christian community, evangelizing the faith and assisting others to recognize God’s purpose for their lives.  Her dramatic life’s journey has provided her with the passion and sensitivity necessary to communicate effectively with her readers and listeners.  Ms. Yoko's conversion story to the Catholic faith and her profound commitment to sanctity of life issues were profiled on Catholic Online for several years, where she served as a writer and moderator on the largest Catholic website on the Internet.

Ms. Yoko is currently working on the completion of a period novel for publication. When she isn't writing, she shares her passion for life with her family, playing golf, bicycling and playing the piano.  She shares her husband’s passion for historic architecture and classical cathedrals, visiting Catholic basilicas in the United States.
